\\MARRIED: Danielle + Ezra

Meet Danielle + Ezra. Such a goofy, fun, go-lucky, and happy couple. They both come from awesome and hilarious families, who made me feel welcome the entire time I spent getting to know them. Yes, even though Ezra and his brother joked and told everyone I threw my “big ol’ camera at their heads to get the shot.” (I told you they were funny.)

They got married on Danielle’s grandparent’s property, and it was perfect. Wonderful lighting and sceneries for portraits. Such an intimate and beautiful setting for them, while still having hints of Danielle’s vibrant personality all over. Pink + Zebra ladies and gentlemen, and it fit her perfectly. Their families and friends put things together so nicely, especially the wedding coordinator Cicily Allen- AWESOME job guys!

They did not see each other before the ceremony, however we did manage to get some photos together without Ezra sneaking a peak beforehand.

These girls made capturing moments a little too easy.

Pretty sure they were all being silly and/or making fun of me in this shot, but it still turned out cool – good job gents!

Love the shoes.

beautiful girls!

One stylish ring-bearer

3 generations. I absolutely love this shot.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to both the Rusie and the Davis families, + a big congratulations and best wishes to Ezra and Danielle.

hello!

+

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s a gorgeous 60 degree day in Indiana on the first of February.  My state really knows how to keep us on our toes, I love it.  Indianapolis is hopping this week!  Didn’t you hear? THE SUPERBOWL IS IN TOWN!  Don’t care about football? Yeah, me neither, however the city really has come alive (+ I mean way more than normal.)  Although the construction that took place downtown was often incredibly annoying, it does look absolutely gorgeous… If you get rid of all those silly huge Super Bowl signs;)… I cannot wait to try out the zip-line!

 +

Saturday the Anderson Indiana native / songwriter was in the super bowl village for a live performance.  I have to say I’m a little biased in Jon’s favor for helping all of us Andersonians have a wee bit of hope for success, however no one can deny his true raw talent he brings to the stage.  The friends I went with are now hooked, I love when that happens.  Here are a few shots from that bitter, cold, 25 degree concert.  Enjoy!  Everyone be safe in this nap-town craziness!

This is why candids are so much better than posed shots… Homeboy on the drums.

Well done, sir.

His new single “Summer is Over” featuring Sara Bareilles – download it on iTunes.

Happy February!

truly,

- katie.

\\ MARRIED: clay+nichole.

\\ 08. 20. 2011

meet clay and nichole zook!

…how cute is this duo?!…

I had the privilege of shooting their wedding last month – it was such a fun wedding to do! Clay and Nichole have both recently graduated college and have been together since high school!  Though we all grew up in Anderson, I didn’t become friends with Nichole and Clay until i went to IUPUI, which then led to Nichole and i eventually living together last year.  I have to say Nichole is extremely sweet and pleasant to be around, and Clay is so kind and always willing to talk to anyone – they make a perfect couple they do! I was so honored to be a part of my friends’ special celebration at Park Place Church in Anderson, IN.  Let the photos commence!

I

Nichole’s sister Kellin was her maid of honor – they are the most precious sisters ever.  Kellin was actually in my high school Anatomy class, small world right?

clay’s brothers were his groomsmen – suspenders? always a good idea.

Nichole’s cousins really wanted an Abby Road picture – Love it!

Kellin sang “Yellow” with the band for their first dance.

I love weddings where I see many friends, hence the pictures below…

Nichole’s mom looked beautiful as well!

Nichole works at a coffee shop in pendleton.  Her boss came out to make all the guests Lattes at the reception – SCORE!

Nichole’s dad is the nicest guy alive!

I don’t even have to say how precious this is…

Kellin decorated Nichole’s car before they headed out, such a sweet sister!

THANK YOU clay + nichole for being such amazing clients! and friends! You had a beautiful day with lovely fall colors and an awesome location. I know you all will last a joyful lifetime.  Wish the best to you both!  A beautiful new chapter of an already blessed story begins.

truly,

-katie.

Every person in the wedding party was such a trooper to brave that 100 degree indiana weather for photos as well.  SO THANK YOU ALL!
